Please note, all the latest production Keeley Tubescreamers including the 808+ are supplied with the Texas Instruments RC4558P chip installed.

The standard 808 circuit is exactly the same as the TS9 and shares its deficiencies; limited bass response that cuts so much that it appears as a huge midrange hump in the sound. Limited Gain range...doesn't get clean enough and doesn't get distorted enough. Also, the lack of transparency or muddiness becomes a problem for many users.

All these problems are fixed by Robert’s mods. Our approach is to give you the most out of this classic pedal.
